President: Penelope P. Carson

The Club’s first female president, Penny Carson has been a community leader in Portland since her graduation from Tufts. Trained as an educator, Penny has spent her career in real estate management and development, serving in leadership roles for Portland’s Downtown Development District, Wayneflete School and the Maine Association of Real Estate Developers.  She resides in Falmouth with her husband, Robert.

Vice President: Brian Petrovek

President and Managing Owner of the AHL Portland Pirates, Brian Petrovek has a  record of community service that is long. A two-degree graduate of Harvard, Brian was well known in hockey circles as one of the best goalies in college hockey. Currently actively engaged as a member of the Maine Medical Center, United Way and Portland Downtown organizations, Brian and his wife, Sara LeBlond Petrovek, reside in Yarmouth.

Secretary: Matthew Goldfarb, Esq.

Attorney Matthew Goldfarb serves the Club as Secretary and Membership Chair. A Portland native, Matthew graduated from Boston University. Active in community and religious organizations, Matthew and his wife, Lynn, reside in Cumberland.

Treasurer: Richard Emerson, CPA, CVA

Rich Emerson, the Managing Stockholder of Portland’s Purdy, Powers and Company, is a well-respected local accountant who graduated from Husson College. He resides in Durham with his wife, Rhonda.
